License
The text and diagrams on this website are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
In short
- You may copy, adapt, and reuse the text and diagrams on this website for any purpose, including commercial use. Credit the source.
- You may use the technique itself freely. Running sessions, teaching it, and building trees need no permission.
- The name, the logo, and the tree illustration are not part of the open license.
What you may do
Under CC BY 4.0, you may:
- Share the material: copy and redistribute it in any medium or format.
- Adapt it: remix, transform, and build upon it.
Both apply for any purpose, including commercial use. You do not need to ask permission.
What you must do
You must give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate if you made changes. You may do this in any reasonable way, but not in a way that suggests the authors endorse you or your use.
How to credit
Copy the line that fits your use, and adjust the link to the page you used.
Unchanged material, such as a quoted rule or a diagram used as is:
Tree of Influence by Paulo Queiroga and contributors, licensed under CC BY 4.0. https://treeofinfluence.com
Adapted material, such as a translated guide or your own version of a diagram:
Adapted from Tree of Influence by Paulo Queiroga and contributors, licensed under CC BY 4.0. https://treeofinfluence.com
Changes: (what you changed)
Slides and other short formats, where a full line does not fit:
Based on Tree of Influence by Paulo Queiroga and contributors (CC BY 4.0)
In the short format, add the link wherever your format allows it: in the speaker notes, on a sources slide, or in the handout.
Using the technique
The license covers the text and diagrams on this website, not the use of the technique. You do not need permission to run sessions, teach the Tree of Influence, build trees for clients, or charge for workshops.
If you teach it, a mention of this website helps others find the source material. It is welcome, not required.
What the license does not cover
- The name. You may say that your work uses or is based on the Tree of Influence. Do not name an adaptation, a product, or a course in a way that suggests it is the official Tree of Influence, or that its authors endorse it.
- The logo and the tree illustration. The mark in the site header and the sticky note tree illustration on the home page are not part of the open license. Ask before using them.
- Linked websites. The pages this website links to, such as the sources on compared with other frameworks, have their own terms.
Contributions
What you share through contributing is published under the same license, CC BY 4.0. You keep the copyright to what you write.
